Since the 5th grade, Lonyea Maiden has had a deep passion for beauty. As a child she would stare in awe as her mother would do her makeup. Before long she was recruiting friends and family for free makeup sessions, eventually starting a career as a busy freelance makeup artist. In 2013 Lonyea launched her Youtube channel as a resource for clients or anyone interested makeup; especially people of color who were already underrepresented. Through the popular #learnwithlonn series, Lonyea continues to teach technique and tips, inspiring everyone to have fun, be creative and play with makeup.
